GE 2006

My first election ever in my life but yet I am not excited about it. I would when I was young, curious why the adults were so excited, the excitement of voting was in the air when I was in Primary School. I grew up thinking that GE is a grand affair but now, it's not such a grand affair after all. It's about competition, about power and the political status. So what's the important decision that I have to make? PAP vs WP I don't even know who they are. Yeah, I am ignorant, living in a world of my own. I am never a person who bothers about other people's business, unless they want me to. Not a very good attitude and mindset, I know. Who should I support? What are the repercussions if WP wins? And how will the plans and promises impact and influence the current lifestyle? Will there be an upheaval of political unrest? Nah, I am making too big a hoo-ha from this. Things may not be that complicated. I just need the wisdom to make the right decision. --------------------...

Frustrations

I am frustrated with work and myself. Too much frustrations that I can feel the anger arising in me. Bottled up all my unhappiness -- that's me. I just keep quiet till I can't any longer. My supervisor is picking on my work, she's overly detailed for me to handle. Good thing because it's training season. Bad thing, I am tired and hoping that after I leave the office, there will not be any careless mistakes that she will spot. It's never my intention to be careless, I try to check through but sometimes, I don't know if I really can't see or the devil is using my weakness to attack me in my career. It's a vicious cycle that I want to get away with. Thank God for the faith message last CG. I pray I will start my day with faith, favor, wisdom and grace. I want to be serious and I want to work with faith, live with faith, speak with faith and wisdom, clarity of mind so that I know what I am doing and remember what I am supposed to do. Psalms 5:3 Listen to my...

It was such great fun and joy to know so many people and to make like-minded friends from church. I have not felt such excitement and joy after I start work. As a working adult or even part-time student for 3 yrs, it was school, work, home, ministry, CG and church. Nothing more than that. But now, I feel I am living on earth with many others around, not in a cage surrounded by same old familiar faces. It feels so good to make new friends, like-minded and you know that most of these people may in one way or another be a form of encouragement. They are people who loves God but of course that's majority. After all, we are still make of the flesh, imperfect but moving onto perfection. Really thank God for the opportunity to know more people within the church. That means more support also. Here are some pictures:

Heart of the Matter is the Matter of the Heart

Colossians 3 v2-Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. v3-For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. v8-But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. v9-Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices v12-Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. v13-Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Grace and Mercy and more Grace and Mercy.... Sigh....Lord I pray that I have the ability to release the anxiety and frustrations to you. I need a breakthrough in my career and having more favor than ever. I pray for supernatural wisdom when dealing with people. Give me words to speak and a heart that unde...

Running Forward

Luke 17:32 Remember Lot's wife! Genesis 19 v12: Then the angels said to Lot, "Do you have anyone else here: a son-in-law, your sons and daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of this place, v13: for we are about to destroy this place because the outcry against its people is great before the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it." v24-26: Then the Lord rained burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah from the Lord out of the sky. He overthrew these cities, the entire plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and whatever grew on the ground. But his wife looked back and became a pillar of salt . Life in Christ is Victorious - Don't let the past hinder your future in 2006 and the years to come! Don't look back to: 1. old sins that have been forgiven Forgive yourself as God has forgiven you -- Guilt will destroy & take away your future. 1 John 1:7-9 v7: But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellows...

Keeping the Faith

Don't pull down your faith level to your experiences but PULL your experiences up to the level of faith that God has placed in you. Galatians 6:9 So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don't give up. -- at a proper time God is going to bring miracles and revivals. 2 Keys to having a persistent faith 1. You must understand how God works or operates in your life. There are 6 phases that God works through: Phase 1: A Dream God gives you a dream or desire, i.e. be fishers of men Phase 2: A Decision A dream is worthless unless you make a decision and decide to go for it! Count the cost and take a step of faith for it Let go of your insecurity -- Moses gave up his career to rescue the Israelites -- 12 disciples make a decision to leave everything behind & follow Jesus. Phase 3: Delay There is always a waiting period. You need to wait upon God. E.g. Moses and Joseph, etc. Why does God take a long time to respond or work? -- Teach to us to...

Thank God! My sec sch friend Baoping actually came to Cg last Thursday! I am so glad and am praying that she will be more opened. She's an encouragement to me. In fact I never thought that she will be open to meet up to come for CG outing on 25th march 2006, and moreover she came for Cg as well! Oh God, I pray that this seed will not pass away but it will flourish and grow. This seed will be a harvest.

Blowing Up

I am tolerating, keeping quiet. Patience is running out. Everyone has a temper, so do I! When I keep quiet doesn't mean I allow people out there to take advantage and throw their temper and weight at me. I am just patient and tolerant. Don't push yourself too far in and overstep the boundary. When I blow up, I BLOW! The reason why I keep quiet, not because I am good tempered but it's because I can't control my temper. It's uncontrollable! But that's where maturity steps in, letting go and not blowing up because of your personal frustrations and anger. I don't believe in venting frustrations on the people around you unless they are the very reasons who frustrated you. That's childishness and it puts people off!
Hebrews 12 V1 - Therefore since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us, and run with endurance the race that lies before us, V2 - keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of God's throne. V3 - For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, so that you won't grow weary and lose heart. V4 - In struggling against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood. V5 - And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: My son, do not take the Lord's discipline lightly, or faint when you are reproved by Him; V6 - for the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and punishes every son whom He receives. V7 - Endure it as discipline: God is dealing with you as sons. For what son is there whom a father doe...

1 Timothy 4 V12 - Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you teach, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. V13 - Until I get there, focus on reading the Scriptures to the church, encouraging the believers, and teaching them. V14 - Do not neglect the spiritual gift you received through the prophecies spoken to you when the elders of the church laid their hands on you. V15 - Give your complete attention to these matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Isaiah 44:22 I have swept away your sins like the morning mists. I have scattered your offenses like the clouds. Oh, return to me, for I have paid the price to set you free." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Prayer: Lord, please help me to be the pers...

Run with Your Vision 2006

Habakkuk 2 v2 - Write the Vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it v3 - For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will SURELY come, it will not tarry.

Remember God's Rhema For You!

The only way to keep you going in your walk with God, is the RHEMA word. Embrace the Word, Meditate on the Word, and Pray about the Word. That's the opposite of "Don't curse/nurse/rehearse the hurt." Don't know why. But I just felt led to remember the verses that God has for me. Someone said very seriously to me last night, "Don't be overly smart. Not every body likes it. You can offend people." He was so dead serious, I was intimidated and felt guilty. Smart without tactfulness = brainless Smart with tactfulness = wisdom And I want wisdom, I don't want to be dumbo but I am not definitely not a bimbo. haha... RHEMA: Isaiah 42 V.6 - I, the Lord, have called You in righteousness, And will hold your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people. As a light to the Gentiles, V.7 - To open blind eyes, To bring prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house. Isaiah 43 V.1b - "Fear not, for I have rede...

Distractions

There are many distractions nowadays, not only for me but for many as well. It's a time of warfare, not against flesh and blood but against the principality of this place. The devil is not happy with what we are doing as a "family", great miracles are going to happen. If not he won't be trying to hard to get us all distracted. I am distracted by anger, self-esteem and insecurity. Lord, I place my confidence and hope in You. As for the past, the word is self-explanatory. Past cannot affect anyone unless we allow it to haunt us and cripple our progression in life. We should learn to take things in stride, life is not smooth-going. We all need to learn and accept the FACT that there are situations/circumstances that doesn't favor us, but our responses/reactions will show our maturity and attitude towards life. Easier said than done, but with God, all things are possible. Really need to exchange our burdens and yoke with God's burdens and yoke for they are light. ...

Tough Decision

I have tough decisions to make this year. One has to do with my spiritual life and the other has to do with my career. I don't mind and I am still praying. I felt that God has calling me into the teaching profession years before, but I ran away because I felt that I don't have the abilities or gifts to teach. Whatever I studied, I just study for the sake of passing. I don't exactly remembered what I have studied. You ask me to guide I can but not teach. I don't have the confidence. Another reason that stopped me was because of the bond by NIE. Next, the education system sucks! I hate the education system here. I have never really liked the education system here. Students are so competitive and results are what they care about. There's simply no EQ. Well, at least this is so from what I have observed. This may not be necessary true for all. I'd love to make an impact in the lives of the youths which I always wanted to but no courage. Anyway, even if I want to go ...

Abundance

The Message Ephesians 3:20 God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Complain shows that you are a victim of life.... You have only one life, enjoy it! ---- Dr. Phil Pringles ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Serving is the key to destiny.... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I had a meeting with one the trainers and his assistant. I really like this trainer alot, he's an American. A very dynamic guy, straightforward, truthful, intelligent, sharp, analytical. But I guess all these came with experience. He is like a fatherly figure, and I like him alot though he can be lou...

A Whole Day Long, Repairing Computer

I packed my room on Monday till the wee hours of the morning about 3+am. I slept around 4am after bathing. Woke up to day at 1030am but ly on my bed till 1130am and packed my room alittle again till about 12+pm. Relax till 1230pm and got out of my house to meet up an old friend of mine, a brother. Awkwardly, we looked for a place for lunch at Serangoon Gardens. Awkwardly because we almost got together a few years back. But I wasn't ready and I felt he wasn't ready too because the focus and foundation is round. Anyway, we came back home (to my place) at about 2pm and started to do "healing and praying" for my com. Gosh! My com is now healed after most 8.5hrs of going through dianogsis, X-ray and then operation. Thank God I prayed! My friend reformatted my hard disk after we back up some of the important files. Until we finally have the com recuperated, I realised I forgot to back up emails!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lo and behold, my address book and emails were found...

Interesting Quotes on Evolution

ROBERT JASTROW , ASTROPHYSICIST For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance; he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries . (Robert Jastrow, God and the Astronomers, W.W. Norton, New York, 1978, p. 116) I think the one in bold italics is really funny. This is exactly my sentiments. Why do all the scientists and atheists try to hard to put in resources just to prove themselves? The waste of time and efforts and money!!! Things are simple as it is, no complications, no confusion, no strife. FRANK TIPLER , MATHEMATICIAN & PHYSICIST When I began my career as a cosmologist some twenty years ago, I was a convinced atheist. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that one day I would be writing a book purporting to show that the central claims of Judeo-Christian theology are in...

Psalms 139

The Message 1 God, investigate my life; get all the facts firsthand. 2 I'm an open book to you; even from a distance, you know what I'm thinking. 3 You know when I leave and when I get back; I'm never out of your sight. 4 You know everything I'm going to say before I start the first sentence. 5 I look behind me and you're there, then up ahead and you're there, too - your reassuring presence, coming and going. 6 This is too much, too wonderful - I can't take it all in! Good News Translation 1 Lord, you have examined me and you know me. 2 You know everything I do; from far away you understand all my thoughts. 3 You see me, whether I am working or resting; you know all my actions. 4 Even before I speak, you already know what I will say. 5 You are all around me on every side; you protect me with your power. 6 Your knowledge of me is too deep; it is beyond my understanding.

Isaiah 60

V1 Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord shines over you. V2 For look, darkness covers the earth, and total darkness the peoples;but the Lord will shine over you,and His glory will appear over you. V3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your radiance.
