Letter of Offer

Got the letter of offer from CQU, I am hoping that I will get one from my alma mater though. Is it a good time to set off next year? I am really counting the costs. I do hope that God will somehow help to sponsor me once more for my studies like how He did for SOT and my degree. Only that this time, I really want to go over to Australia. Things may not be as I want it to be when I am over there, at least, I want to look back when I get older and know that I have taken some kind of risk for what I want to do in my life. Not sitting back, still sheltered and regretting for not taking the risk for what I want in my life. A&B is next week. I did my calculations on Sat nite and found that the realistic amount I can give is slashed by at least 50%. The spiritual amount has not been confirmed yet. To be honest, if I have the kind of money, I will definitely give whatever I can. Yet, I also know that faith is believing in the unseen. Blind faith is being presumptous, and that's unpleas...

Preparation

I have submitted my application on 14th and all other documentations yesterday. Pending for review of my application now, but I am sure there will be a letter of acceptance or offer. Though scholarship may be for students with excellent results, I have decided to go ahead to apply as well. Not so soon though, as I will need to attach the Letter of Offer with the form. Been thinking of ways how I can raise $$, an idea got through me this morning. Sell all my textbooks I did for my degree. Hmmmm, I love keeping my books. Really, anything that belongs to me, I will keep it. Not only to sell textbooks but also, CDs and my other Christian literatures - like a warehouse sales thingy? In the midst of A&B, I do not wish to shortchange God because of my intention to continue my studies. Humans proposes, God disposes. But anyhow, I have decided to want to go ahead with my plan. I don't want this lamentation to go on into my 40s because of my procrastination and fear of taking a loan. Hec...

Wine Appreciation

What a treat I've got as an occasional alcoholic or should I say social alcoholic? I do like wine, I like certain cocktail alcohols like Long Island Tea. We had a focus group today for a particular brand of wine. We tasted the different range and tags. Hmmm well, honestly speaking there's nothing fantastic. Still, it's wine and I enjoyed it and more importantly, it was an experience with planner and rest of the focus group. They are wine connoisseurs and it comes as no surprise since they are from UK, Australia, US where wine comes cheap. Not just wine, QUALITY wine. I think I should go out for more exposure with people who enjoy the finer things of life. It's an eye opener for me since most of my friends are low-profilers. Even for myself, I have been hiding in my shell for too many a year. I admit I am far behind time compared to my peers. Need to do a little tortise run to win the race.
