Pessimism

Reading what I wrote on the previous blog, I thought I sounded PESSIMISTIC. Yucks! I don't think I am that inferior though I must admit I am very shy when comes to meeting new people. I tend to be very conscious and takes time to really relex and be myself. Yesterday was the birthday of a very dear brother and today is my younger brother's birthday. 23rd May is a special day not only for my friend but also my water baptism since when? hm... 1998 I guess, long time ago! Well I am still young, at least in the sight of my God.

Loved by the Greatest Love

Once I thought that love was meant for Anyone else but me Once I thought that no one knew the Way Now that only goes to show how wrong we all can be Cause now it seems He loves me more each day Chorus: His love is warmer than the warmest sunshine Softer than a sigh His love is deeper than the deepest ocean Wider than the sky His love is brighter than the brightest star That shines every night above And there is nothing in this world that can Ever change His love Something happened to my heart The day that I met Him Something that I never felt before And that something is that He has buried all my sins And everyday I know He loves me more ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My favorite song when I was young. Childlike faith brings forth faith and joy but a faith that has stagnated and been contaminated brings forth memories. I will rather have encounters and experiences than to have memories. It's so sad when your encounter with God has sto...

Hold Fast Our Confession

Psalms 65 v9-You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, For so You have prepared it. v10-You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers, You bless its growth. God will leave us abundant blessings wherever He goes. Blessings = Provisions ->However, it is dependent on the choices we make. Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering , for He who promised is faithful. 1. Let Us -making a strong decision immediately Hebrews 3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus, -when we make the right confession / prayer, Jesus will begin to be the Priest over our lives. The ability to pray and confession is very important! 2. Hold fast Hebrews 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fa...

I Stand Alone

I stand alone in a corner of the earth I stand alone in the face of dissatisfaction I stand alone in the roads of wilderness Then You came along To show Your love Now You hold my hands and I stand with You Your face shining down on me Chorus: There is none like You Your love is true There is none like You Your love is great Now I stand with You ------------------------------------------------------- As I woke up this morning, lying on my bed, a melody came to my mind.... then the words... and that's how the song above was created.

a DaY oUt WiTh No ReSt

Been out most part of the day. Back to office to collect my charger coz my HP went flat, did my hair, went gym and then dinner with friends. Came home around 10pm... I have been out for almost 11 hours! Talking about doing my hair, the hairstylist is a rather interesting guy (cute). This is the 2nd time that he is helping me do my hair and we had a good chat. And he has a unique way of asking for numbers...... He may be resigning and he gave me his number and then asked me to give him a missed call. hmm.... well I hope I got his number wrong so that he won't have mind. He was washing the color off my hair at the basin so I can't hear my phone connect to the other side. Anyway, if God has placed this new soul in my life, there is a purpose. Most importantly he's not working on Sundays! I pray that his schedule will remain as it is so that when the opportunity arises, I can invite him for service. :> hehe.... A good thing he's also a Malaysian coz there's quite a n...

wHaT iS mY eMoTiOn?

Thus, yet again, I can feel my emotions going haywire. Regrets? Depression? Loneliness? Insecurity? All these seems to be coming back to me now. Just when you want to serve God more fervently, just when you decide to live a life of passion, just when you want to renew your mind and decide to spend more time in His word and standing upon the truth..... all of a sudden....... So what did Paul says? Take up the armour, stand firm with faith. Not to move and charge but to just STAND firm. I guess, that's to say not to waver. I feel like I am walking on still waters and then sinking amidst the storm. Why ME? WHY? sigh........... I want to be with people who has the passion of Christ, I want to be with people who has the zoe life of God. I have seen and met a few but we were never friends, just acquaintances. I need to have a mentor who challenges and disciples me. Not that my CGL is not, but it's so different. It's just like Elkman & Kong. It's not about leadership autho...

Buried under a pile of invoices

My first experience of the actual closing.... It's like fighting a battle, I should have dated all the invoices in May when I received them late April. Now I have to key in every single invoices I have received for the past week and it doesn't help to have additional holiday. But I do appreciate the break, it has been rather stressful for me because of my lack of experience and detailedness. Most of my friends will know that I am a "sotong", and now I've got myself back into mess again. I miss my ex-colleagues and ex-boss who's a dear brother to me. In fact, he taught me confidence and communication skills. But I had not perservered on because I really can't bring in the sales or people to attend the training. I really like the godly working environment and the many mentors who are there. I pray that I will have a mentor this year whom I can learn from, be discipled in every areas such as communication, mindset, administrative skills, etc. Ok that's be...

Desert Experience

God will make a way, where there seems to be no way. With Love and Strength for each new day, He will make a way, He will make a way. John Bevere: HE looks for those who are diligent in spirit, who will seek and pursue, even if it takes tenacious persistence . Is prayer a monologue or dialogue? This is a question I need to ask myself. Monologue or dialogue? I think mine is a monologue prayer and guess who's talking most of the time? ME! And why is it always me? Coz I don't have the energy to stay awake and wait upon the Lord's voice to speak to me. So the consequence? Needless to say, roadway in the wilderness. What John Bevere said challenges me and I do hope that I can spend time to wait upon God's presence and His voice. Adam has sacrificed his personal walk with God through sin, yet through Enoch (Adam's great, great, great .... grandson; whichever generation is that) walked personally with God, side by side. He overcome the hurdle through his passion to pursu...

Trouble, Hope and Praise

Trouble often brings depression. We pity ourselves. We ask, "Why me, Lord?" Kids are especially prone to pity parties. So are adults. Psalm 43:5 gives us a solution. "Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, the help of my countenance, and my God." First, being disturbed, getting down, and being troubled are real experiences. We should never put down people who go through such times of depression. Second, we should recognize God is the answer to our troubles and depression. We should not look at ourselves and engage in self-pity. Instead, we should hope in God. Third, the hope mentioned in the Psalm is not some vague euphoric feeling about the future. We have this nebulous hope when we hope tomorrow will go well. Rather, the hope mentioned here is a gift of the Holy Spirit. It is a solid foundation upon which to build our present lives. Fourth, since hope is a gift from God, it must be used....
