Exactly a month later
14th March - Met up with my cousin again, exactly 1 mth after Valentine's. I have been looking forward to meeting with him again after he came back from his trip.
What a timing! And we managed to catch Benjamin Button despite after waiting for a month. It's a very touching show. I am glad I didn't watch it over the internet. It's very meaningful and the perspective about life really reverse because he saw everything from an adult's perspective despite being a kid.
His love for Daisy and Daisy's yearning for him. How he has to leave his family because he was growing younger every day and there was no way he could have looked after his daughter. The part when he came back visiting as a teenager and saw his daughter. Hmmm, kinda wanna cry at that moment. He IS the father but yet, he's not able to see her grow up and bring her to school. He sent her postcards almost every year.
The last part when he became a child with dementia, died as a babe in the arms of aged Daisy. Wow.... How much energy and strength it takes for a person to look at his/her beloved dying as an infant in his/her arms?
Though it's not a true story, but it touches my heart because of the acceptance of the differences, going through the difficulties, being different from others and abandoned by Ben's biological father. He went through life as premature aged teenager in his young age and a child in his old age.
There were humorous parts as well about the man struck by lightning 7 times in his lifetime.
It's an interesting autobiograhy of a fictional figure, again, who knows? There might really be someone who's suffering this perculiar disease.
