Effects of Hatred on the Heart
A. Corrupting Disease
1. sometimes in dealing with a certain person whom you find almost intolerable,
you really have to fight to prevent yourself from having that one, first, small sensation of
hatred
2. if you allow that first experience of hatred, you will spend much more time
trying to eradicate its effects from your own heart
a. if you can hate one person for one moment, you can hate him forever and
also hate others
b. without saying a word or raising your hand, you have done great harm with
your hatred—not to the person you hate, but to yourself!
3. your hatred now threatens your own soul with eternal condemnation

B. Proverbs

1. "Hatred stirs up strife; but love covers all sins" (Prov. 10:12)
a. when we maintain an attitude of love for those with whom we clash, we can
keep the strained relationship from drifting into strife and bitterness
b. if we allow ourselves the freedom to hate them, our emotions of bitterness
will only grow and we will find ourselves thinking, saying and doing things that are
consistent with our professions of faithfulness: Eph. 4:25-32
2. "Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool"
(Prov. 10:18)
a. is it good enough to hate someone so long as you don’t reveal it to him?
b. lying about not having cancer will not make the disease go away any more
than lying about hatred will prevent symptoms from appearing: Prov. 26:24-26
c. feelings of hatred must be confronted, attacked and overcome, lest the tools
of malice be eventually used
3. "Better is a little with the fear of the Lord, Than great treasure with trouble.
Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, Than a fatted calf with hatred" (Prov. 15:16-17).
a. we said earlier that carnal considerations are often at the root of hatred;
sometimes hatred is caused by envy
b. we hate anybody who has more than we do, assume they achieved it
through cheating or luck and wish they would lose it
c. this brand of hatred is cured only by learning contentment: Phil. 4:11-13

C. Hatred is Darkness

1. if a Christian falls into hatred, he is making a statement: 1 John 2:9-11, 4:20-21
2. we must do better: Matt. 5:43-48

Mixed Emotions

Emotional? Disappointment? Resentment? A heavy heart. This is a year of good news for many of my single friends even celebrities who were single for a long time. Met up with a friend whom I hardly met since Covid. Today we met up and she introduced her boyfriend. Happy for her though I was surprised. The next bomb was she is getting married in November. Update for Q1 2018

It has been a journey since beginning of this year. In fact, I thank God for the healing sessions end of 2017 before Sep. I have been going for healing sessions with cornerstone and have been greatly ministered to. Release of the pressures and stress of life since my youth when I had to near all the brunt of my father and take up the responsibilities of my mum's inability to be a housewife. The loneliness and rejection that I had to go through during the last trimester of my mum's pregnancy while staying with my god grandma. It was a great relief and deliverance and reassurance of His unconditional love for me. He will never leave me nor forsake me. Since then I felt so much lighter about myself and about life. Personally having visited the Holocause Museum (Yad Vashem) in Israel, it is definitely the saddest and darkest period for the Jews. Anti-semitism is indeed a scary belief and practice which is demonic, that can only explain the degree of cruelty that no mankind can ever imagine. Who would tear apart an infant who is less than a year old? Who exterminate an entire nation of Jews? Why is that only the chosen nation suffers such violence? This is no work of the human mind and act except for the devil. May Israel be greatly blessed and be a light that shines forth so brightly. They have proved themselves to arise and soar above the darkest history.
